President of Swiss Confederation to pay state visit to Mongolia

At the invitation of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, President of the Swiss Confederation Viola Amherd will pay a State Visit to Mongolia on August 2-4, 2024, MONTSAME reports.

The Visit to take place as part of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Swiss Confederation is the first State Visit by a Swiss Head of State to Mongolia.

During the State Visit, the Heads of State of the two countries will hold official talks to discuss strengthening and expanding bilateral relations and cooperation. The two parties will sign documents aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries and expanding and deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Mongolia and the Swiss Confederation established diplomatic relations on May 22, 1964.
