President of Tajikistan called OSCE for resolving mine-threat problem in Central Asia
He said it during the Summit of the Organization in the capital of Kazakhstan.
'We express our concern in regard of remaining mine-threat in Central Asia because innocent people dye of their consequences. We call the OSCE and the International Trust Fund to continue work on countering mine-threat in Central Asia and open in Dushanbe the Regional Coordinating Council of the OSCE on preventing mine threats in the region. It will reflect the goal of the Ottawa Convention', the President of the Tajikistan said.
He also noted that the problem of drug trafficking breaks security and stability in the OSCE region.
'In this regard we hope while developing projects and programs within the first dimension the OSCE will strengthen its activity in this direction in tajikistan', Emomali Rahmonov said.
