President of Uzbekistan eyes to visit Kazakhstan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay official visit to Kazakhstan, Trend.az reports.

The news follows the 21st meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation with the participation of Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov in Almaty.

The sides discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda on the eve of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Kazakhstan and reviewed the pace of implementation of the agreements between the two heads of state.

On April 5, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit.

The Kazakh president was met by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the airport of Urgench International Airport.

The schedule of the visit included a casual meeting of the two countries' leaders, as well as a joint visit to Khiva City's enterprises and cultural landmarks.
