President promises to suppress any actions and words contradicting with law
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke on the necessity of establishing dictatorship of law and order in the country, Kazinform News Agency reports.
“We are steadily following the path of consistent transformation of the society and the implementation of democratic principles. Amid growing political and economic turbulence in the world, it is crucial to ensure the dictatorship of law and order in the country,” the President said ahead of the awards ceremony held on the occasion of October 25 Republic Day.
He stressed that the state will firmly pursue the policy of intolerance to any manifestations of radicalism, extremism, legal nihilism, and domestic vandalism.
“Aggression and hate speech, violation of social norms, calls for violence, actions insulting citizens' dignity - all this should have no place in our society. We will harshly suppress any words and actions that contradict the law, separate citizens and undermine the stability of our country. Those who cross the line oppose themselves to both the state and society. This should be well understood by all citizens, and especially public figures and so-called "opinion leaders,” emphasized he.
