President received Chairman of Finance Police

ASTANA-AKORDA. February 26. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Chairman of the Agency for Struggle against Economic and Corruption Crimes Kairat Kozhamzharov, Kazinform has learnt from the President?s press service.

Mr. Kozhamzharov reported to the President on performance of the first stage of the Action Plan of the 2006-2010 State Program on combating corruption and beginning of realization of the second stage. The President especially highlighted that struggle against corruption was one of the major challenges of the state. The Finance Police should reveal bribe-takers in spite of their positions. The Prosecutor?s Office and National Security Committee should help the Agency. The agency was charged to continue monitoring of legality of distribution of licenses for the development of deposits in Kazakhstan, take control over tax payments to the budget from the sale of alcohol products and control disbursement of the funds allocated for the realization of the Government?s anti-crisis program for 2009-2011.
