President reported on construction of Kyzyzlorda-Zhezkazgan road

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, was familiarized with the construction of the Kyzylorda-Zhezkazgan road, Kazinform Agency cites Akorda. 

As of today, construction of 104km of the 216km-long road in Kyzylorda region has been completed.

The President was also informed that a section of the West Europe – West China interactional road stretching from Kyzylorda city to Aktobe region (566km) is expected to be converted into a 1^st category road with four lanes.

Deputy governor of Kyzylorda region, special representative of the Kazakh President at Baikonur Complex Kairat Nurtai made a report on the situation in Baikonur city.

According to Tokayev, a close interaction with the Russian side is needed to ensure social and economic development of the city.
