President surveyed Almaty Eastern Bypass Road

ALMATY. November 15. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev has surveyed the first stage of Almaty Eastern Bypass Road within his working visit to the city. The Head of the State was accompanied by city Mayor Akhmetzhan Yesimov. As earlier reported, the road was opened for traffic on October 27 on a temporary scheme.

The project of construction of this road was worked out on the basis of the Stat Program of Almaty Development for 2003-2010 and the General Plan of Almaty Development. The construction was begun in April, 2007. The total length is 7.8 km.
