President Tokayev congratulates Kazakhstanis on Orthodox Christmas Day

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended his congratulations to Kazakhstanis on the Orthodox Christmas Day the country marks today (January 7), Kazinform News Agency reports.

In his congratulatory letter, the Kazakh leader noted that this celebration embodies kindness and hope, uniting people of faith to serve high human ideals.

During the Orthodox Christmas Day, hearts are full of special joy, as Orthodox people lavishing care and attention on loved ones, extending mercy and compassion to those in need.

Orthodox Christianity represents an important contribution to the promotion of unity and solidarity of our people, values of patriotism, creativity and responsibility that are part of our shared national identity.

I’m convinced that accord and mutual understanding in the society will remain a solid foundation for sustainable progress of Kazakhstan, said the Kazakh President.
