President Tokayev draws parallels between people of Kazakhstan and Hungary
The Kazakh President drew many parallels between the people of Kazakhstan and Hungary, Kazinform Agency reports.
“It seems fair to say that Kazakhstan is your Motherland since your roots originated there. You are close to Kipchaks. The Kazakhs know this fact very well. We are very grateful to you. Your visit is of great importance,” the Head of State said, addressing Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
The President expressed hope that his visit would give a new impetus to cooperation between the two nations.
The Head of State noted that Kazakhs and Hungarians are related nations with long-standing traditions.
The Head of State said that the languages, traditions, and culture of the nations are close. The descendants of the Kipchak tribes migrated from Europe to Toraigyr steppes in the medieval period, and now live in the territory of Hungary. “We are proud of it. The historical roots and close ties laid the foundation for deepening cooperation between the two countries today. Thanks to joint efforts the Kazakh-Hungarian integration dynamically developed in all the spheres,” the President said.
