President Tokayev honors UAE Ambassador with prestigious state accolade
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Ambassador of the UAE to Kazakhstan Dr. Mohamed Saeed Mohamed Alariqi in the Akorda presidential residence, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.
The meeting focused on the issues of practical implementation of the agreements earlier reached at the highest level.
As the Head of State noted the trade and economic sphere remains a key direction of bilateral ties. He reminded that the governments of the two nations were tasked to step up the volume of two-way trade to $1 billion in the nearest future.
The President underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation in the spheres of energy, agriculture, transport and logistics in accordance with the joint declaration of strategic investment projects.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev went on to praise the high dynamics of cooperation with UAE’s Masdar in terms of development of joint projects in RES sector as well as the first steps towards implementation of the investment projects with AD Ports Group and Terminals Holding.
The sides also paid utmost attention to bilateral cooperation in the sphere of information technologies.
In conclusion, President Tokayev honored H.E. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Mohamed Alariqi with a prestigious state award, the Dostyq Order of the 2nd degree, as a sign of appreciation of his contribution to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UAE.
