President Tokayev made 23 foreign trips in 2024

This was informed by Advisor – Press Secretary of the Kazakh President Berik Uali in his article published in Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

The international agenda turned out to be an especially busy one in 2024, as Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made 23 foreign trips, took part in 19 multilateral forums and summits. As part of the international events, the President held 27 meetings with foreign leaders, 84 meetings with heads of state, government and other high-ranking officials of foreign countries, chiefs of international and regional organizations, representatives of business circles, said Uali.

President Tokayev received credentials from 22 ambassadors of foreign countries as well as held 49 phone conversations with foreign leaders.

Since the beginning of the year, the Head of State paid state visits to Qatar, Azerbaijan, Singapore, Tajikistan, Mongolia, France and Hungary as well as made officials visits to Italy, Vatican, Armenia, Turkmenistan and Serbia.

Uali pointed out that this year saw first visits to some countries in almost 20 years, highlighting the special attention President Tokayev attaches to multilateral cooperation.

The Kazakh President also made working visits to 11 countries to participate in different international events as well as held talks with heads of 11 foreign countries, who arrived in Kazakhstan for visits at different levels.

Throughout the year, the aircraft carrying the President of Kazakhstan covered 158,983 kilometers, with the time the President spent onboard planes and helicopters estimated at 245 hours and 18 minutes, equivalent of flying around the equator four times.

Earlier it was reported that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan attended a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) in expanded format.
