President Tokayev meets with Power International Holding leadership
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Power International Holding Group Chairman Moutaz Al-Khayyat and Group CEO Ramez Al-Khayyat, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the realization of major investment projects in the field of energy and telecommunication.
Power International Holding (PIH) engages in construction of a gas processing plant in Kashagan, the second line of the Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent gas pipeline, as well as a new compressor station and the main gas pipeline Aktobe-Kostanay. As President Tokayev highlighted these projects are set to contribute greatly to enhancing the country’s energy security.
In turn, Power International Holding Group Chairman Moutaz Al-Khayyat shared plans regarding the implementation of the agreements reached with the Kazakhstani side on the investment projects.
Talks are ongoing with PIH to construct a combined cycle power plant in Kyzylorda region and install interregional electrical networks.
Besides, the Power International Holding leadership expressed interest in implementing joint projects in AI.
The Kazakh leader confirmed his readiness to provide favorable conditions for Qatari investors and highlighted the importance of implementing the projects mentioned at a high level.
Earlier it was reported that President Tokayev arrived in Qatar for a working visit.
