President Tokayev praised positive dynamics of interaction with African countries at meeting with Rwanda’s Special Envoy
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Special Envoy of the President of Rwanda, Jean Paul Nyirubutama, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the Akorda press service.
Greeting the special guest from Rwanda, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev conveyed his best wishes to his counterpart, President of Rwanda Paul Kagame. He expressed gratitude to the Rwandan side for their commitment to enhancing multifaceted cooperation with Kazakhstan.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of interaction with African countries, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening relations with Rwanda on a wide spectrum of issues of bilateral and multilateral agendas.
In this context, the President highly appreciated the recent signing of the Agreement between Kazakhstan and Rwanda on the exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
Jean Paul Nyirubutama thanked the Head of State for the warm welcome, noting Kazakhstan’s significant achievements in the political and socioeconomic spheres.
During the conversation, promising areas of trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation were also discussed.
