President Tokayev receives Chairman of Supreme Judicial Council Dmitry Malakhov

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Dmitry Malakhov today, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Akorda press service.

The meeting discussed the issues of further improvement of the Supreme Judicial Council’s activity, including the efforts aimed at the improvement and renewal of the judicial staff, development of the Academy of Justice and enhancing disciplinary liability of judges.

According to Dmitry Malakhov, the Supreme Judicial Council is set to work on digitalization of all business processes and competitive selection procedures. In his words, cassation courts will start operating from July 1, 2025.  The Council is expected to select judges by this time.

The President set a number of specific instructions to Dmitry Malakhov.
