President Tokayev receives Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.
The Kazakh Head of State heard the report on the operational situation in the country.
Sadenov made a report on the ongoing decline in crimes with the number of homicides reducing by 20%, thefts by 28%, and robberies by 32%. According to him, there was decline in cases of robbery, vandalism, cattle rustling, grievous bodily harm, as well as other offences, including domestic violence.
The Kazakh interior minister informed about the work to form zero tolerance to offences, implement the principle of inevitability of punishment for offences and crimes, ensure road safety. He also pointed out that 8 million 500 thousand offences, more by 1mln than in the previous year, have been revealed. Administrative fines to the tune of KZT90bn have been imposed, as well as KZT71bn have been recovered as a result of the offences committed.
Sadenov also informed about the measures taken to improve the work of the interior bodies, including targeted certification and separation of the internal ministry system from unworthy members.
In conclusion, the Kazakh Head of State gave a number of instructions aimed at ensuring the implementation of the Law-and-Order principle.
Tokayev stressed that the workers of law-enforcement bodies have a huge responsibility for establishing justice and order in the society.
