President Tokayev visits ALACEM cement plant

 Launched in 2020, the Kazakh-Singaporean enterprise worth KZT47bn produceы 1.5 million tons of cement per year using the dry method, Kazinform Agency cites the Akorda press service. 

According to the plant’s managing director Stanislav Shcherbakov, the plant covers up to 65% of the needs of the city of Almaty, Zhetysu and Almaty regions in its products. During the project’s realization, the advanced technologies meeting the best standards of environmentally friendly and zero waste production were used. The intellectual system DCS to operate the production process was introduced as well.

Since its launch, the plant has provided the financial support of KZT2.7bn for the development of Kerbulakskiy district as part of business social responsibility.

During the talk with the plant’s personnel, the Kazakh Head of State noted that the opening of such a major plant is important for the development of the construction industry, especially to improve the local infrastructure.

The plant’s products are exported to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
