President took part in conference on 20th anniversary of Charter of Paris
PARIS. October 28. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has made a speech today at the conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Charter of Paris and presidency of Kazakhstan in the OSCE within his two-day visit to France.
The geographical and political space of European security has extended. Besides, the Charter has proved itself as the foundation of the OSCE.
'There are conflicts based on the religion and interethnic issues. The importance of multilateral cooperation in the sphere of countering terrorism and international threats has increased considerably over the last years. The consequences of the global financial crisis have influenced many countries and regions that they suffer from it until now', N. Nazarbayev noted.
Under these tough conditions Kazakhstan carries out its mission as the OSCE presiding country fully realizing its responsibilities.
'We have defined our priorities and now on the way to achieving them', the Head of State added.
