President visited Taraz chemical technology college

TARAZ. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev visited the chemical technology college of Taraz within his working trip to Zhambyl region. The college was built for advanced vocational training of specialists for opening in the region chemical plants.

Teachers and students of the college and heads of big industrial enterprises of Zhambyl region took part in the meeting.

The Head of State noted the effectiveness of the first phase of the accelerated industrial-innovative development program in development of the economy of the country. He also emphasized that availability of great natural resources does not guarantee economic stability. "We have all nature's resources as oil, gas, precious metals and it is good for us. However, global prices have fallen. We need to develop the economy that would not depend on these prices. We need to develop high technologies," N. Nazarbayev said.

"Colleges are opened all over the country on my initiative to prepare specialists for all the sectors of the economy," the President added.
