President visits one of the oldest enterprises, battery factory in Almaty rgn

TALDYKORGAN. KAZINFORM As part of his working trip to the Almaty region President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev visited on Wednesday Kainar AKB battery factory in Taldykorgan.

Construction of the plant started back to 1970. It produced its first battery in January 1975. This plant was one of the five producers of storage batteries in the USSR. In 2011 the plant realized a KZT 570,0 mln project to produce lead-acid storage batteries. Its rated capacity is 1,8 mln batteries per year. It also created 80 new workplaces. Today, the Head of State visited the regional cardiac surgery center. Its surgeons performed 1,415 coronary angiographies, 624 stenting and 152 open-heart surgeries in 2013-2014.
