Presidential Decree reelects new chairman of Central Election Commission

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Decree of Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev has appointed Kuandyk Turgankulov chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the press service of Akorda informs.

K. Turgankulov was born in August 1, 1949 in the village of Kok-Ozek, Zhambyl district, Almaty region. In 1971 he graduated from Kazakh Polytechnic Institute named after Lenin, in 2000 - "Kaynar" University. January 1996 he served as deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan. January 2007 he held a post of chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Presidential decree as of April 9, 2010 appointed Kuandyk Turgankulov chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for a new five-year term.
