Presidential elections to strengthen relations of Kazakhstan with foreign countries - A. Khamzayev

BRUSSLES. KAZINFORM - The early presidential elections in Kazakhstan will help strengthen the relations of the country with foreign states, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium Almaz Khamzayev told at the briefing in the Brussels press club on Friday.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, European External Action Service, representatives of business and social communities of Belgium, non-governmental organizations and journalists too part in the event.

The theme of the briefing was to familiarize the European community with the process of preparation for the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan. During the event, Almaz Khamzayev explained some provisions of the election legislation of Kazakhstan and some organization issues and some aspects of the monitoring process.

According to him, the early presidential elections will help to strengthen the relations between Kazakhstan and foreign countries and prove once again the commitment of Kazakhstan to the principles of openness, transparency, fairness and competition during the election campaign.

A. Khamzayev assured the audience that the country took all the measures to ensure the election process meets all the international democratic standards.
