State Counselor Erlan Karin’s article titled L’agenda créatif du Kazakhstan summing up some of the results of Kazakhstan’s development this year was published in France’s L`Essentiel des relations internationales magazine, Kazinform News Agency reports.

In the article, Karin notes that President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev consistently carries out reforms aimed at Kazakhstan’s dramatic modernization. 2023, in his words, was no exception and was marked by numerous reforms.

Karin points out the synchrony of the reforms in politics and economy spearheaded by the Kazakh President. Each reform, each new initiative complete one another and are of systemic character. In general, all directions of the President’s course be it politics, economy or ideology – all together they form a single program of the country's modernization.

The process of reforms is quite special since it is widely supported by the public. It is facilitated by the concept of the Hearing State announced by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev back in 2019 in the early days of his presidency. The concept is based on the pivotal principle that all crucial decisions are made taking into account the public opinion.

This tremendously helped shape a new model of interaction between the authorities and the public through dialogue and consensus.
