Prime Minister Karim Massimov met Australian Ambassador Margaret Toomey

ASTANA. February 11. KAZINFORM Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Kazakhstan Margaret Twomey in Ukimet Uyi (House of Government) today, Kazinform refers to the PM?s press service.

The meeting was devoted to discussion of further development of bilateral relations, in particular, in realization of the country?s potential in agriculture, development of natural resources and cooperation in education sphere. Particular attention was given to accession of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization. K. Massimov and M. Twomey exchanged views on the world economic situation and opportunities of interaction against challenges of the global financial crisis. Upon completion of the meeting the parties expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation of Kazakhstan and Australia.
