Prime Minister of Ukraine impressed with dynamic development of Kazakh economy

TANA. November 24. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov is impressed with the dynamic development of Kazakhstan's economy.

"I have not been in Kazakhstan for seven years. I was shocked, in a good sense of course, by the changes of the capital, the dynamics of economic development," Azarov said at the Kazakh-Ukrainian business forum in Astana.

"It suffices to say that Kazakhstan's gross domestic product amounts to somewhat USD 200 billion, slightly higher than that of Ukraine. This makes us both upset and happy. Happy for our Kazakh friends, and upset with the fact that once our GDP was twice higher than of Kazakhstan, but now we began to lag behind," Ukrainian Premier noted.
