PETROPAVLOVSK.  November 3. KAZINFORM  /Sergey Kuznetsov/  North Kazakhstan oblast observes growth of investment activity in private sector of economy. Over nine months of 2009 investments in basic capital of the region made KZT 30.6 bln or 115.1% against the same period in 2008.

In accordance with the data provided by the regional statistics department, investments were primarily directed to purchase of machines and equipment - 43%, construction and capital repair of the buildings - 47.5%.

The major sources of investments are own funds of business entities and population - 43%, borrowings - 23%, budgetary means - 31% and foreign investments - 3%.

Agriculture, hunting and forestry remain priority sectors in attracting investments which utilize up to 30.2% of all funds.
