Progress MS-25 resupply ship launched from Baikonur
The Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with Progress MS-25 resupply ship blasted off from the launch pad No31 of Baikonur cosmodrome December 1, at 03:25 pm Astana time, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The launch was carried out in a routine mode, the separation of the carrier-rocket’s stages occurred in the prescribed time. On the tenth minute after the blast-off, the resupply ship was put into the Earth orbit. It is set to dock with the International Space Station on December 3.
The launch from the Baikonur cosmodrome was broadcast live by NASA and on the website and social media accounts of Roscosmos.
The Progress MS-25 resupply vehicle will deliver 2.5 tons of goods to the ISS, including fuel, drinking water, various equipment and New Year gifts to NASA astronauts.
