Prosecutor General met with Head of OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission
The issues of the OSCE/ODIHR activity on monitoring elections and ensuring the legitimacy of the upcoming early Presidential elections were discussed at the meeting.
The Prosecutor General informed D.Everts on the work of the Kazakh prosecution agencies conducted during the electoral period, including the consideration of citizens' appeals on violations of the election law and measures on their rectification.
The Prosecutor General has noted that the electoral period passes in free atmosphere. All Presidential candidates are provided with equal access to mass media.
The Head of the OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission noted that the election observation process would be impartial. All results on the observation will be based on reliable facts only.
The sides agreed to interact in organizing regional trips of the observers to country's regions and providing permanent, timely and full information exchange on violations of the election law.
