Prosecutors of 100 world countries discussed increase in duties

Heads of supreme supervisory bodies from 100 countries took part in the conference.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor's General Office, the forum discussed the role of prosecutors in promoting the rule of law. In particular, the problems of applying the principle of the rule of law in respect of the prosecutors at the operational level, the guarantees provided by prosecutors to ensure its independence and effectiveness of the activities, relationships prosecutors of different countries in the international cooperation and other issues.
Extensive discussions concerning the revision and expansion of key roles and functions of the Prosecutor's Office in the life of the state and a variety of innovative approaches in this regard were held within the conference.
In addition, the Kazakh Prosecutor General held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Belarus, Georgia, Russia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Tajikistan, and Ukraine, as well as representatives of the prosecutor's offices in Armenia, Mongolia, South Korea, Pakistan, Canada, during which participants discussed prospects of mutual cooperation.
