Prospects of cooperation of EEU and EU discussed in Moscow
"The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union," the statement reads.
As V. Khristenklo noted, development of the EEU, deepening of the integration between the economies of the member-states, joining of new members to the integration project provides new opportunities. Besides, he noted that the EEU had been and remained the key partner for the EU. It regards many spheres from trade to investments and technological cooperation, etc.
The head of the Board of the EEC told about the cooperation between the EEU with the third countries, in particular about establishment of the free-trade zone between the EEU and Vietnam, talks with India, Egypt and Israel. He also told about the increasing mutual interest in development of cooperation between the EEU and Latin America.
In turn, Jean-Maurice Ripert expressed willingness to develop the dialogue between the organizations.
