Purchase of Kazakh nonmilitary supplies to Afghanistan planned: R.Hougland
ASTANA. January 28. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ It is planned to purchase nonmilitary goods and cargo in Kazakhstan for supply to coalition forces based in Afghanistan. US Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Kazakhstan Richard Hougland has made it public at a briefing, Kazinform reports.
Kazakhstan supported the Agreement allowing the transit of nonmilitary supplies to the international forces in Afghanistan through its territory.
?You understand why it is so important for the USA. Because we plan to increase contingent in Afghanistan by 32 thousand people in the nearest time. We should build barracks, soldiers will need food, medicaments and etc?, R.Hougland emphasized.
?The purchase of cargo and goods of nonmilitary character for supplies to Afghanistan is provided by the agreement?, the US Ambassador noted.
