Qarmet's revival plan presented to Deputy PM Sklyar
First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar paid a working visit to Karaganda region. Together with governor Yermaganbet Bulekpayev, he studied the revival plan for Qarmet (former ArcelorMittal Temirtau) company, Kazinform News Agency reports via primeminister.kz.
At the Kuzembayev coalmine, the governmental delegation was presented the systems of underground positioning and radio communication to be implemented in all facilities. Using the system, the dispatcher monitors the location and movement of personnel inside the mine. This makes it possible to correctly assess the situation and, in case of need, take necessary measures.
Qarmet management reported on serious problems in the technical equipment of the mines and the plant, as well as on the prospects for introducing modern production technologies.
Summing up the meeting, Roman Sklyar noted a high level of trust on the part of the Kazakh Government and tasked to take all necessary actions to upgrade the industrial safety standards.
