Qatar to help UN humanitarian establishments in Gaza Strip

NEW YORK. February 24. KAZINFORM /Aliya Altyngazina/ UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has welcomed a plan of Qatar to allocate USD 40 mln for financing humanitarian operations of the UN in Gaza; Kazinform reports.

The funds will be spent for programs financing of the UN establishments on ensuring extraordinary needs of Gaza Strip population. Additional USD 10 mln will be directed to the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund created in 2006.
