QazaqGaz scientific and technical center names new general director

Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov introduced new General Director Meir Sheraly to the Scientific and Technical Center QazaqGaz LLP team, Kazinform News Agency has learned from the company’s press service. 

By the decision of the Board of Directors of NC QazaqGaz JSC, Meir Nurtaevich Sheraly was appointed to the position of General Director in QazaqGaz Scientific and Technical Center LLP, a subsidiary of the national company.

Meir Sheraly graduated from the University of Manchester in the UK in 2010 with a Bachelor of Oil and Gas Engineering. He has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry at international companies.

He began his career in 2010 at the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2011 to 2022, he held several key positions in the transnational oil services company Baker Hughes. In particular, he was head of the business development block for the East Caspian region, director in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the Oilfield Services company, and general director of Baker Hughes ZMS JV LLP and Baker Hughes Kazakhstan LLP.

During his work in Uzbekistan, Thailand, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, and Turkmenistan, he implemented several projects in the field of drilling and field optimization.

In addition, he led significant projects related to the activities of Lukoil, Chevron, Tengizchevroil, KPO, Petronas, Zhaikmunai, and others.

Previously, he was the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu LLP (formerly United Chemical Company).

He is a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve.
