QazPost ranked among world’s Top-50 postal operators

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Chairperson of the Management Board of JSC QazPost Assel Zhanassova, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Akorda press service.

Assel Zhanassova reported to the President about the company’s activity in 2024, financial situation and promising areas of development.

According to her, in the past two years, the company has achieved a net profit and paid 45 billion tenge of taxes and duties to the state budget.

For the first time, QazPost was ranked among the world's Top-50 postal operators by the Universal Postal Union. Due to optimization of logistics processes, the volume of postal items surged by 26%, including 20 million of handled parcels, nine million of which are international ones.

The Head of State was informed that during the implementation of the HomePost project, 180 pick-up points were opened in local stores. In 2025 their number is set to reach 1,000. As part of cooperation with YTO Express, $50 million of investments were attracted to modernize the postal infrastructure.

The company implements joint projects in the field of logistics and transit together with Japan Post, Toshiba and Cainiao. The development of Keruen service providing access to international market places is underway now.

A multimodal warehouse with an area of 15,000 square meters is planned to be built in the territory of Aktobe Airport in partnership with Türkiye’s S-Sistem.

Upon completion of the meeting, the Head of State tasked the company to continue working on financial recovery, development of transit and logistics potential in e-commerce towards the CIS countries and implementation of digital solutions.
