Quake measuring 4,5 points rocks Kamchatka, no casualties

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. October 21. KAZINFORM There has been an earthquake measuring 4.5 points near the southern coast of Kamchatka, there have been no casualties of destruction and no tsunami warning has been made, a source in the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported on Wednesday, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

The earth tremor was registered at 08:02, Kamchatka time (23:02, Moscow time, Oct 20). The quake epicentre was located in the Pacific Ocean 444 kilometres southeast of Severo-Kurilsk (Paramushir Island of the Kurils chain). The seismic focus was at a depth of 4.9 kilometres under the seabed.
