Queen Margrethe II of Denmark conveys best wishes to Kazakh President
During the talks with Michael Zilmer-Johns, Danish State Secretary for Foreign Policy, the sides exchanged opinions on a wide array of topics regarding bilateral relations that Kazakhstan and Denmark have been enjoying for 20 years.
Onzhanov told about the main provisions of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's state-of-the-nation address as of 27 January 2012.
The Kazakh diplomat pointed out the relevance of the priorities of the current Danish presidency of the EU, including measures to tackle the crisis, security and "green" development. He expressed hoped that during this important period Copenhagen would contribute to the continuation of an active dialogue between Astana and Brussels, in particular, on issues such as the development of new Agreement on Advanced Partnership and Cooperation, as well as facilitation of visa regime for Kazakh citizens.
In turn, the Danish side emphasized the growing authority of Kazakhstan in the regional and international arena, while assuring the support of Kazakhstan's entry into the World Trade Organization.
The same day, the diplomat attended the reception to mark the 40th anniversary of accession to the throne of Queen Margrethe II. Her Majesty in a private conversation asked to convey the warm greetings and best wishes to President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
