Radiation from Japan does not threaten Kazakhstan - N.Ashim

ASTANA. March 29. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Radiation from Japan does not threaten Kazakhstan. Minister of Environmental Protection Nurgali Ashim has made it public in an interview to journalists.

According to the Minister, Kazhydromet RSE constantly receives data from the Russian, Japanese and South Korean colleagues. "There is no threat to Kazakhstan. We are located far from tsunami and the Pacific Ocean," N.Ashim stressed.

"We do not get products from Japan, we even get sushi from Moscow, rice noodles - from Korea," he added.

N.Ashim noted that Japan exports equipment and automobiles to Kazakhstan, which are delivered through Russia and China, where goods undergo double checking.

"There are no changes in the atmosphere of Kazakhstan," Minister Ashim noted.
