Rail tanker carrying crude oil spills 60 tons in Mangystau region

ASTANA. July 14. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Ministry for Emergency Situations has reported that 60 tons of crude oil spilled from a rail tanker of a freight train en-route Mangystau-Kulsary on Saturday evening (July 13).

The oil spill covered a territory of nearly 250 square meters. For reasons of safety the rail tanker was decoupled and parked at the nearest railway station. No casualties were reported.

The cleanup operation in Mangystau region was completed the same day.
