ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The railway stations and airports of Kazakhstan will be more comfortable for the use by the people with disabilities, Deputy Minister of Healthcare and Social Development of Kazakhstan Svetlana Zhakupova told at the Majilis sitting presenting the draft law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan regarding the issues of protection of the rights of people with disabilities".

"According to the draft law, the amendments will be made to 24 normative acts and 4 codes. They provide for creation of the conditions for the people with disabilities in railroad stations and airports, improvement of bus stops, installment of special signs, sound devices and addition of special cars for disabled people to regular trains," she said. According to her, there are 627 thousand people with disabilities in Kazakhstan. This is a 3.7% of the total population of the country.
