Rains to batter north of Kazakhstan, while heatwave to scorch south

Cyclone will persist throughout the greater part of Kazakhstan over the next three days bringing thundershowers, squalls and hail, Kazinform News Agency reports.

According to Kazhydromet forecast, heavy downpours are expected to pound the country’s south and northwest on August 6-8, and north of Kazakhstan on August 7-8. High wind is forecast to sweep through the regions.

The sweltering temperatures are forecast to grip the south of Kazakhstan with mercury soaring up to 38-45 degrees Celsius.
