Rains, winds take hold of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Unsteady weather is expected in most parts of Kazakhstan today, July 28, according to the Ministry of Emergencies. But it will be mainly sunny with no precipitations in western Kazakhstan.

Thunderstorm and strong wind gusting to 30m per sec are expected in the Zhambyl region. It will be windy and foggy in the Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions. Hail, sand storm and baffling wind may hit eastern Kazakhstan. It will be windy and rainy in the South Kazakhstan and Almaty regions as well. Wind is set to strengthen in the Mangystau, West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions. Winds and thunderstorms will persist in the Pavlodar, Karaganda and Kyzylorda regions. Meteorologists predict extreme heat in the Almaty region today.
