Rare footage of Akhmet Zhubanov and Kurmangazy Orchestra revealed
The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan has released a unique footage featuring Akhmet Zhubanov and the Kurmangazy Orchestra performing the "Saryarka" renowned song, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Akhmet Zhubanov was a composer, musicologist, ethnographic researcher of Kazakh folk songs and kyuis (music), writer-historian, and musical director.
His creative endeavours were dedicated to the presentation of the national art of the Kazakh people.
The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan has released unique and rare footage of Akhmet Zhubanov and the Kurmangazy Orchestra performing Kurmangazy's renowned kyui, "Saryarka".
This work by the renowned Kyrgyz artist Kurmangazy evokes a profound yearning for love and liberty in the vast Kazakh steppes.
Recall that this year marked the 60th anniversary of the inauguration of the Kazakh specialized Boarding School for Gifted children named after Akhmet Zhubanov. The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, congratulated the specialized boarding school on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.
