Regional program on drinking water successfully implemented in Uralsk

URALSK. February 13. KAZINFORM /Gaisagali Yeraly/ Regional program to provide local population with drinking water is implemented in the West Kazakhstan oblast, Kazinform correspondent reports.

24 settlements of the oblast with population of 15 thousand people were sanitized in 2008 and KZT 1.2 bln were used for it. As a result, 61% of citizens of the region are provided with drinking water. According to Akim of the region Baktykozha Izmukhambetov there is a lot of work to do. There are some villages which even do not have water pipes. In order to provide all region with drinking water it is necessary to allocate KZT 1-1.5 bln from the national and local budget.
