We’ve invited a production director Yury Aleksandrov, and art director Vyacheslav Okunev. They are already familiar with our history, our tradition. All the more so this genre isn’t easy, it’s rock music, so to show it well we need to engage great masters who can do it, and I believe that todays rehearsal will show that they can cope with it well. In the opera I’ve used Kazakh folk song “Dudar-ai”. There will be a lot of ballet, so that we’ve invited a ballet master from St.Petersburg. And if spectators like the performance, I will be happy”, - composer, author of the rock opera “Zheruyik” Tolegen Mukhamedzhanov told astana.kz.

As it is known, the rock opera “Zheruyik” is based on the Kazakh famous legend about a steppe philosopher Asan Kaigy searching for the land of promise, who sees tha damage done by murrain and disasters and goes to find the land of promise “Zheruyik”, there a soul can recover poise and all people can be happy. Having put the load on camels, Asan Kaigy went through the whole Kazakh steppe. According to the production director’s idea, in the end of the rock opera “Zheruyik” Asan Kaigy finds the land of promise in the center of ancient Saryarka, it’s the capital of our country Astana, which a symbol of renewal, high achievements of Kazakhstani people. Let us recall, that the first show of the rock opera “Zheruyik” will be held on 14-15 of September, at 18.00, in the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. The opera lasts 80 minutes.
