Remaining 27 wagons with Kazakhstani humanitarian aid leaves for Afghanistan

Kazakhstan has sent the last 27 wagons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, Kazinform Agency reports. 

Upon instruction of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, 1,659 tons of humanitarian cargo were allocated from the state material reserve to provide assistance to Afghanistan in liquidating the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, reads a statement of the emergency situations ministry of Kazakhstan.

The first batch of humanitarian aid – 70 tents and SK Pharmacy’s pharmaceuticals, was delivered by a National Guard aircraft in Gerat, Afghanistan, on October 11.

The remaining 27 wagons loaded with humanitarian cargo including wheat, rice cereals, vegetable oil, canned milk, beds, blankets, clothes left from Almaty and Karaganda region.
