Marat Akhmetzhanov stated that 530,000 square meters have been commissioned, including 9 apartment buildings at the expense of the budget in the region this year. It is anticipated that another 16 houses will be commissioned by yearend.

“According to the instructions of the Head of State, socially vulnerable groups of the population will be provided with housing through the purchase of ready-made flats. This mechanism enables prompt resolution of housing issues for large families, orphans and other citizens. A total of 736 flats have been purchased this year. Another 104 flats will be purchased by the end of the year. In general, 2,064 families have been provided with housing over the last 5 years, and this year we have provided 2276 families with housing,” he said.

In addition, Kokshetau has initiated a housing stock renovation program. The regional center is comprised of 11 districts, with a total of 150 old houses scheduled for renovation in stages.

“This will make it possible to build new social facilities, housing, parks and playgrounds. Thus, we are forming a new face of the city,” the regional akim added.
