Rep of Ministry of Higher Education of Saudi Arabia visited Kazakh National University

ALMATY. January 10. KAZINFORM /Daniayr Sikhimbayev/ The Councillor on international cooperation of the Ministry of Higher Education of Saudi Arabia and members of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kazakhstan have visited the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazinform reports.

The Councillor briefed the participants of the meeting on state and dynamics of the development of relations between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia in the field of education and on necessity of cooperation diversification. The guest informed that about 20 state and 15 private higher education establishments work in Saudi Arabia, 70% of students of which are foreigners. He also said that a technological university under the King of Saudi Arabia will be opened in the country in 2009. In this regard the Councillor invited professors of the Kazakh National University to lecture at the new university and offered students exchange between the universities.
