Review of Kyrgyzstan's accession to Customs Union, Single Economic Space within two weeks

MOSCOW.  May  16. KAZINFORM The action plan to guide Kyrgyzstan's accession to the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan will be reviewed in the next two weeks. The decision was made at a session of the working group of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Commission's press service told BelTA.

The action plan requires Kyrgyzstan to bring its laws and international treaties into compliance with the legal base of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space along with terms of Kyrgyzstan's membership in the World Trade Organization, terms of trade cooperation with third countries and trade in individual commodities. Apart from that, Kyrgyzstan's obligations to the WTO will be compared to the obligations that Customs Union member states have undertaken. The economic effect and consequences of Kyrgyzstan's accession to the legal base of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space will be assessed for Kyrgyzstan and the current Customs Union member states, BelTA  reports.

The session of the working group was chaired by Tatiana Valovaya, Minister for Main Integration Directions and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The session gathered executives of the Commission, representatives of government agencies of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Russia.
