RK Ambassador met Chairman of ?the Nippon Foundation? in Tokyo

ASTANA. February 18. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Ambassador to Japan Akylbek Kamaldinov has met with Chairman of ?The Nippon Foundation? Yohei Sasakawa, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh MFA.

The Ambassador acquainted the Head of the Japanese Fund with the main directions of Kazakhstan?s development on the modern stage, the Government?s measures on strengthening the national economy, democratization reforms and peaceful initiatives of our country on the international arena. The parties reiterated importance of the ideas of RK President Nursultan Nazarbayev on convocation of the Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia aimed at ensuring peace and harmony among the representatives of different nations and religions. Y. Sasakawa highly appreciated the Kazakh President?s efforts on provision of prosperity and welfare of multinational Kazakhstan. He expressed interest in establishment of joint agro-industrial complexes in Kazakhstan for making a contribution to solution of the global food problem. Alongside, Mr. Sasakawa assured N. Nazarbayev that he would consider possibility of expanding interaction of ?The Nippon Foundation? with Kazakhstan in different fields. ?The Nippon Foundation? was established in 1962 and is known for its huge contribution to development of education, science and medicine and broad charity work.
