RK Ambassador to Belarus meets reps of Kazakh Diaspora

MINSK. February 9. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Smirnov had a meeting with the representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora, Kazinform has learnt from the Embassy?s press service.

The Ambassador briefed about the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan, the reforms on further democratization of the political life and state programs implemented in our country including ?30 corporate leaders? and ?Cultural Heritage? projects. The guests were acquainted with realization of the major foreign policy initiatives of Kazakhstan. In addition, A. Smirnov told about Kazakhstan?s future chairmanship in the OSCE in 2010 and ?Road to Europe? State Program. In whole 1000 ethnic Kazakhs are living in Belarus at present. There is ?Atameken? International Public Association of Kazakhs in Belarus. It was established in 2004.
